Introduction:
Indian Institute of Management Rohtak is a premier institute of management education in India. The Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak is a full-time residential doctoral programme (Ph.D.) offered in various disciplines. The programme aims at:
1. Developing high-quality researchers and teachers for academic institutions in India and abroad.
2. Producing top-quality management experts and thinkers for business organizations, government, and society in India and abroad.

The programme duration is four years. The participants are given a monthly stipend, waiver of tuition fees, contingency grant to attend international/national conferences and support for research visits to global partner institutions.

Admission Process:
The admission to DPM of IIM Rohtak is open to all Indian citizens, non-resident Indians, persons of Indian origin living abroad and other foreign citizens. Admission to the programme will be based on the academic qualifications, performance in the qualifying examination/tests, personal interviews and the work experience. The DPM programme is a full-time completely residential programme for a duration of four years.
Basic Eligibility Criteria:

Those who are in the final year of their Masters Programme are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar or Director of the university/institute that they have cleared first year and will be able to submit final year provisional mark sheet latest by Sep 30, 2024. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheets and a pass certificate of masters degree/equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by the Principal/Registrar of their college/institute. The deadline for submission of mark sheet and the pass certificate is December 31, 2024. Please note that those candidates who have applied on the basis of their master’s degree will have to meet the minimum 55% marks criteria and submit the final degree mark sheet/pass certificate. Non-fulfilment of these conditions will automatically result in cancellation of the provisional admission.

Research Aptitude Test (RAT)
IIM Rohtak RAT will test candidates on quantitative ability, verbal ability and research aptitude.
Personal Interview:
The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The candidates will be assessed for their intellectual capabilities, research aptitude and interest in the management discipline.

How to apply:
The online application form can be filled through following link on a payment of Rs. 2928/- (for Indian Citizens) and $ 100 (for foreign citizens or NRIs) as registration charges. The printed application form along with all the documents to be submitted /sent through post to the institute after the online registration on or before February 29, 2024. The required documents for the DPM application are mentioned in Annexure A-1.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
The participants of the DPM will be given a monthly stipend as mentioned below:
In addition to this, a merit Fellowship (subject to satisfactory performance) of Rs. 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs. 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants.
Contingency Grant:
All the participants will receive a contingency grant of Rs. 2,50,000/- distributed across four years of the programme.
Financial Support for Conferences/Academic Exchange:
The participants will be provided potential financial support for attending national and international conferences as well as for academic exchange visits to partner institutions as per the institute norms.
Hostel and Medical Facilities:
The DPM of IIM Rohtak is a full-time residential programme and all the participants are required to stay on the campus. The existing medical facilities that are being used by other members of the Institute will be available to them.
Important:
IIM Rohtak will not charge tuition fee from the participants who receive the monthly stipend. They are expected to pay for their food expenses, electricity & water bill, admission offer acceptance fee, alumni association fee, and any other fee specified by the Institute.
The participants who are admitted under the categories of non-resident Indians, persons of Indian origin living abroad and other foreign citizens will be required to pay the fees as specified by the Institute.
